Konstantin Goldau

Counselor

Konstantin Goldau obtained his Master of Arts in Pedagogy, Psychology and Communication Science from the University of Augsburg in Germany, while also writing as a journalist for national and international publications. After receiving his degree, he lived in the UK and Japan, and decided to complete his studies upon arriving in Hong Kong with a Master of Social Science in Counseling from The University of Hong Kong.

Teaching in the local school system sparked Konstantin to focus on counseling support for children and youth. He supported both school-wide socio-emotional growth initiatives and individual students with social anxiety, selective mutism, ASD, and behavioral and learning difficulties during his time as a teacher. Konstantin further consolidated his experience working with children and adolescents from diverse backgrounds during his practicum at an international boarding school.

Konstantin is especially focused on supporting children and young adults who struggle with social interactions, self-esteem, anxiety, mood disorders, and behavioral issues. He utilizes evidence-based approaches, including Executive Function Training, CBT, Narrative Therapy, and Strength-Based Positive Psychology. Konstantin focuses on socio-emotional growth and personal development with clients and tailors interventions to promote recovery, attain agency, and fulfil their potential. He is a member of the German Association of Psychotherapists (VFP).
