Ming Tang

Ming Tang has been practicing as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) since 2011, one of the first BCBAs in Hong Kong. She has 15 years of clinical experience teaching children with Special Education Needs (SEN).

Ming completed her Master of Education degree from the Education University of Hong Kong, after receiving her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Dalhousie University, Canada, and Graduate Certificate of Applied Behavior Analysis in Special Education from Pennsylvania State University in the US.

She began teaching children with Autism and other developmental disabilities in 2005 at The Children’s Institute of Hong Kong as an Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) teacher and later served as a supervisor. She has continued to serve this population by teaching individual sessions at homes and shadowing students in schools. She has also been invited to teach in local universities and educate the community about how to improve the behavior of children with SEN by using ABA therapy.

Ming conducts skills assessments and functional behavioral assessments. She analyses, plans, and implements interventions based on data, observation, and evidence to help children acquire the skills they need to overcome their challenging behaviors. She works closely with families and other professionals to help children achieve happy and independent lives. Ming is fluent in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin.
